Unexpected opportunity

It could be a great fit for me.

It feels good to be recognized.

In a different time and place

I might jump into this space

But today I’m not sure it’s right.

Trying to figure out which way I want to go.

Lured by life’s temptations 

Now I question what I’ve got.

Do I keep my blinders on 

Or take this from thought to plot?

I wish I had the secret code

Wish I was quicker to listen

And slower to speak

And learned to read between the lines.

Things just get really blurry

When I get in a hurry.

Mistakes are made when I miss signs.
