V1.

My parents own original recipe.

The small-town life was the place for me.

Didn’t have to grow up fast or grow up strong.

A solid foundation for my game plan.

It helped me run the race from boy to man

And I always felt like I belonged

Chorus

The dash is the blip between beginning and end.

When things get tough you gotta press in.

Find your purpose and have some fun.

Make the most of every day you’re given

Because the dash is made for the living.

Be present in the present. Get out and get it done.

V2.

The riddle in the middle is where I chased my dreams

And tried to balance career and my family.

Lived it up before I settled down.

It’s where I learned how much mistakes can cost.

I lived the lessons of love and the lessons of loss.

This stage can be a cage or your playground.

Chorus

The dash is the blip between beginning and end.

When things get tough you gotta press in.

Find your purpose and have some fun.

Make the most of every day you’re given

Because the dash is made for the living.

Be present in the present. Get out and get it done.

Bridge

Don’t blink because it goes by in a flash

So much to do before my victory lap

A million memories I know are gonna last

Long after I’ve finished the Dash

Chorus

The dash is the blip between beginning and end

When things get tough you gotta press in.

Find your purpose and have some fun.

Make the most of every day you’re given

Because the dash is made for the living.

Be present in the present.  Get out and get it done.
