V1.

I used to run full throttle to the bottom of the bottle

To erase her memory

I’d taken the blame and swallowed all the shame

Hiding pain so the world can’t see.

When the demons were drowned and it was time to turn around

Looking up from the bottom of the pit

Satan’s a traitor there was no elevator

Had to climb the ladder out of it.

Chorus

When you hit rock bottom sometimes it’s forgotten

That there’s light beyond the dark.

You finally take control and climb out of the hole.

All it takes is a little spark

A flicker becomes a flame and you grab the reins

And take control of your affairs

It’s time to stop staring up the steps

And start stepping up the stairs.

V2.

When the destination in unknown

It’s hard to know the path to take

And when the road ahead starts winding

You take every step in faith.

And you reach up for the helping hand

That’s there to pull you out of sins

Nothing in life takes more courage

Than putting yourself back together again.

Chorus

When you hit rock bottom sometimes it’s forgotten

That there’s light outside the dark.

And you finally take control and climb out of the hole.

All it takes is a little spark

A spark becomes a flame and you grab the reins

And take control of your affairs

It’s time to stop staring up the steps

And start stepping up the stairs.

Bridge

I have all the faith in you

You’d be surprised what you can do

I believe that you’ll pull through

Yea, I believe in you
