V1.
They spend days and weeks away from home
Working the oil fields
They’re driving trains and semi trucks
Bringing goods to fill the shelves
Farmers planting in the heat
To grow the crops that feed us all
Soldiers standing watch at night
And watching border walls
Chorus
Neck bright red from the summer sun
White tan lines from shirt sleeves
Hard core blue collar work
Is done outside in the breeze
It’s money made from blood and sweat
Their crafts are hard to do
It’s the backbone that makes America great
Red, White, and Blue.
V2.
They’re the first responders that risk their lives
Keeping everybody safe.
He might be the guy to fix your car
So many valuable tech trades
They’re working tough construction jobs
To put the roofs over our heads
And the guys that fix the HVAC
So we’re comfy when we go to bed
Chorus
Neck bright red from the summer sun
White tan lines from shirt sleeves
Hard core blue collar work
Is done outside in the breeze
It’s money made from blood and sweat
And stuff no one wants to do
It’s the backbone that makes America great
Red, White, and Blue
Bridge
It makes me proud to be one
Because in some way I helped you.
And every day I’m proud to say
I’m red, white, and blue.
Chorus
Neck bright red from the summer sun
White tan lines from shirt sleeves
Hard core blue collar work
Is done outside in the breeze
It’s money made from blood and sweat
Their crafts are hard to do
It’s the backbone that makes America great
Red, White, and Blue.
