V1.

I’m seeing it more everyday

Hide behind computers and complain

We’re rarely all on the same page

And from opinions nothing’s gained

We’re so quick to tear down others

When we could help to pick them up

Maybe solving all the problems

Simply starts by growing up

Chorus

Heads are buried in our iPhones

We should probably start to look

At ways to make the world better

There are things we’ve overlooked

Stuff like this makes me wonder

Maybe I’ll never understand

We’re all so quick to point a finger

But so slow to lend a hand.

V2.

We could lead by our example

We could shine a brighter light.

We could cast a net of compliments

Instead of looking for a fight.

We could offer up some wisdom

And fill our lives with so much more

Our words contain a power

We may not have thought to use before

Chorus

Heads are buried in our iPhones

We should probably start to look

At ways to make the world better

There are things we’ve overlooked

Stuff like this makes me wonder

Maybe I’ll never understand

We’re all so quick to point a finger

But so slow to lend a hand.

Bridge

What do we wish to accomplish?

What’s our goal here in this game?

What do you want people to remember

Anytime they hear your name?

Chorus

Heads are buried in our iPhones

We should probably start to look

At ways to make the world better

There are things we’ve overlooked

Stuff like this makes me wonder

Maybe I’ll never understand

We’re all so quick to point a finger

But so slow to lend a hand
