It was magic in the moment

you walked into an interview

It was nearly 30 years ago

Back in 1992

That’s a day I never will forget 

And one that changed my life

I may have been married to someone else

But I knew I’d just met my wife

Man, we really made a mess of things

By 1993

We had to choose to break it off

And save our families

I know I’d never wanted 

To be so wrong before

But I knew we had to walk away

20 years of life went by

When I decided to search for you

We picked up right where we left off,

But it all felt so brand new

And now we get to finish life

Far better than where we started

And we never would have gotten here

If we never would have parted.

In the summer of 2013

We finally said I do

I’m thankful for the winding road

That led me back to you.

Here we are 8 years later in 2021
