In a world where it’s not so much what,

but who you know.

We’re all out to prove our worth

And put on a show.

Where oversharing every piece of life 

Has become the norm

And we’re going live on every 

social media platform

We try to push our name and face to prominence

Most days I just want to be anonymous

Is it pompousness?

That everybody wants to be the greatest.

Seems like a quiet life is always looming

Just barely out of reach
